So crap happens, we run out of things and either have no money, no way to go, or everything is closed. The small town I live in was put on lockdown, we are still on lockdown due to the suspect still hasn’t been arrested. I have an almost two month old…. It’s 4:00 am and I’m out of diapers so it’s time to make some good old fashioned cloth diapers
It will depend on what you have on hand? Almost anything cloth can be used as a diaper. Receiving blankets, kitchen towels and t shirts do work best.
Here is how to use a t-shirt as a diaper:
Place your T-shirt on a flat surface.
Fold over one side to the middle. Repeat with the other side, to form a tapered end (cross over each side in the middle) at the T-shirt hem.
If the sleeve end is not wide enough to go around your baby’s waist, simply widen your fold more. Fold up the t-shirt hem to about half-way, to fit your baby.
Place baby’s bottom on the center of the T-shirt. Bring folded end up between baby’s legs.Wrap the sides around baby’s tummy.
Use pins to secure Or simply place inside a Velcro® or snap diaper wrap and if you have neither you can use masking tape as a last resort.
